The U.S. made a big declaration on strengthening NATO's ties with Kyiv amid the Ukraine war.
White House adviser Jake Sullivan said NATO will appoint a senior representative in Ukraine, who will work to "deepen" Ukraine's ties with NATO.
This comes amid the ongoing NATO annual summit in Washington, which began on July 9.
Joe Biden opened NATO's summit by announcing new air defence support for Ukraine, calling it a "historic donation".
