Opening statements presented as Alec Baldwin Rust on-set shooting trial begins.

The trial against actor Alec Baldwin is officially underway as lawyers present their opening statements to jurors.

Baldwin is facing a felony charge of involuntary manslaughter following the October 2021 fatal on-set shooting of cinematographer Halyna Hutchins.

At the time of the shooting, the actor unintentionally fired a live round during rehearsals for the film Rust in New Mexico, killing Hutchins and wounding another on-set crew member.

He has since claimed that he did not pull the trigger, and has pleaded not guilty to the charges against him.

If convicted, Baldwin could face up to 18 months in prison.

Shrek 5 to debut in theaters July 1, 2026.

The fifth installment of the fan favorite film series will hit theaters summer of 2026, the first of the franchise since Shrek Forever After made its debut in 2010.

While plot details are being kept under wraps, actors Mike Myers, Eddie Murphy and Cameron Diaz have been confirmed to reprise their roles of Shrek, Donkey, and Fiona.

Shrek 5 comes just in time to celebrate the original film's 25th anniversary, which debuted in April of 2001 and won the Academy Award for Best Animated Feature the following year.

Aside from being the founder of the 'Bon Jovi band fan club,' Carol lived an eclectic life as a former U.S. Marine Corps veteran, Playboy bunny, and mother to three sons.

She passed away on Tuesday in Long Branch, NJ just a few days shy of her 84th birthday.

While her passing has been confirmed by Bon Jovi in multiple statements to the media, a cause of death has yet to be revealed.
