On July 13, 2024, former President Donald Trump was the target of an assassination attempt during a rally in Butler, Pennsylvania.
The shooter, identified as 20-year-old Thomas Matthew Crooks from Bethel Park, Pennsylvania, fired multiple shots from an elevated position outside the rally venue.
One of the bullets struck Trump in the upper part of his right ear, causing a significant injury but not life-threatening.
Unfortunately, the attack resulted in the death of one rally attendee and critical injuries to two others before the shooter was neutralized by the Secret Service.
