The Israeli military has intensified its assault on Khan Yunis in the Gaza Strip, resulting in the deaths of at least 27 people, according to medical sources.
This latest wave of air raids and artillery shelling targeted eastern neighbourhoods, which had been designated as a humanitarian safe zone.
The attacks occurred shortly after the Israeli military issued an urgent evacuation order to residents in these areas.
Reports indicate that the bodies of the victims are being brought to Nasser Hospital, with neighbourhoods such as Bani Suheila, Qizan an-Najjar, Abasan al-Kabira, Khuza’a, and al-Qarara suffering significant damage.
The military had previously dropped evacuation leaflets onto these areas, but many residents had little time to flee.
