Iran’s Ambassador to India, Dr. Iraj Elahi, has condemned the assassination of Hamas leader Ismail Haniyeh, attributing it to Israel.
Elahi criticized ongoing Israeli actions in Gaza and Lebanon, highlighted the severe humanitarian impact with thousands dead and wounded, and accused the U.S. of supporting these actions.
He detailed that Haniyeh was killed by a projectile with a 7-kilogram explosive and argued that Israel’s history of unclaimed attacks supports its involvement.
Elahi emphasized Iran’s right to retaliate and urged India, given its significant influence and relations with Israel, to use its power to help end the crisis and promote peace in the region.
