The award-winning talk show host, known as the 'king of daytime talk', died surrounded by family in his home on Sunday night following a long-term illness.
Donahue served as a pioneer for daytime talk in the entertainment industry, hosting The Phil Donahue Show for nearly 30 years.
Over the course of his career, the icon also received many accolades, earning 21 daytime Emmy nominations and winning 9, a primetime Emmy for his 1981 special Donahue and Kids , the 1981 Peabody Award, and most recently the Presidential Medal of Freedom just three months ago.
Actor John Aprea dies at 83.
The actor, best known for his work in The Godfather Part II and Full House died earlier this month due to natural causes.
He passed on August 5 in Los Angeles as revealed by manager Will Levine.
With a career spanning decades, Aprea also appeared in a variety of other films and television shows including 1967's Bullitt , 1980's The Idolmaker , the NBC hit soap opera Another World , and many more.
Actress Danielle Fishel reveals breast cancer diagnosis.
The Boy Meets World actress revealed her diagnosis in the most recent episode of her podcast 'Pod Meets World,' stating 'I was recently diagnosed with DCIS, which stands for ductal carcinoma in situ, which is a form of breast cancer.'
Fishel then goes on to reveal that the cancer was found early, 'technically stage zero,' and will be removed with surgery and follow up treatment.
