Under ordinary circumstances, a sequel to the hit drama "It Ends With Us" would be a no-brainer.
The film, which had a budget of $25 million, has achieved great success, grossing over $180 million worldwide.
Additionally, author Colleen Hoover has already published a best-selling follow-up.
However, a well-publicized feud between star-producer Blake Lively and director-star Justin Baldoni has raised doubts about the possibility of a sequel.
The rift between Lively and Baldoni reportedly began at least a year ago when production was halted during the writers and actors strike.
Lively was said to be reluctant to return to filming.
Then after principal photography wrapped, the movie underwent a week of reshoots, resulting in competing cuts of the movie.
The version preferred by Lively is the one currently in theaters.
Now their involvement in a potential sequel remains to be seen as the feud remains unsettled.
