In a landmark development amid ongoing conflict, Russia and Ukraine have conducted a significant prisoner swap, exchanging 230 captives with the help of the United Arab Emirates (UAE).
This historic exchange, facilitated by the UAE, marks the seventh mediation effort by the Gulf nation this year.
The swap involved 115 Ukrainian prisoners of war (POWs) and 115 Russian servicemen, the latter captured during Ukraine's recent incursion into the Kursk region.
