NASCAR Hall of Famer Bobby Allison dies at 86.
The legendary racing driver passed away on Saturday at his home in Mooresville, North Carolina according to NASCAR officials.
A cause of death has yet to be revealed.
Allison was one of the NASCAR greats, winning 85 races in his nearly three decade-long career.
He is also celebrated as one of the founding members of the 'Alabama Gang,' alongside his brother Donnie Allison and legendary racer Charles 'Red' Farmer.
His most recent win took place just last month, when he was honored by the NASCAR organization and declared the winner of the previously disputed 1971 race at Bowman Gray Stadium.
He was officially inducted to the NASCAR Hall of Fame in 2011, more than two decades after his retirement in 1988.
Professional dancer and choreographer Judith Jamison dies at 81.
Best known for her work with the Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater, Judith Jamison was a trailblazer in Modern dance.
Serving as a dancer with the company for 15 years before becoming its artistic director for more than two decades, she crafted pieces and used movement to tell stories and inspire audiences.
Her renowned 1971 performance of 'Cry,' a 17 minute-long solo dedicated to Black women and mothers everywhere, catapulted her to fame and led her to future opportunities on Broadway and around the globe.
She went on to be recognized with some of the arts' highest honors, including a Primetime Emmy Award, an American Choreography Award, the National Medal of Arts, and a Kennedy Center honor.
She was named one of TIME 100's most influential people in 2009 and was inducted to the Hall of Fame at the National Museum of Dance in 2015.
Jamison passed away on Saturday in New York after battling a brief illness.
