Wicked breaks multiple box office records, earning $114M in its debut weekend.

The highly anticipated film adaptation of the beloved Broadway show hit theaters on Friday.

Since its release, the film has brought in $114 million domestically and more than $164 million around the world, earning its spot as the third biggest opening weekend of the year, just behind Deadpool & Wolverine and Inside Out 2 .

The film has also set a new opening weekend box office record for a screen adaptation of a Broadway show, surpassing 2014's Into the Woods which starred Emily Blunt, James Corden, Anna Kendrick, Johnny Depp, and Meryl Streep.

Best-selling author Barbara Taylor Bradford dies at 91.

For more than four decades, author Barbara Taylor Bradford enchanted readers with every word she wrote.

Her debut novel, A Woman of Substance , reached audiences across the globe after its release in 1979 and became a worldwide phenomenon.

Bradford went on to release a total of 40 novels throughout her career, all of which went on to become best-sellers, 10 of which were later adapted into films or TV shows with the help of her late husband, producer Robert Bradford.

With more than 90 million copies of her books sold across 90 different countries, Bradford cemented her title as one of the legends.

She passed away on Sunday following a short illness according to a statement on her official website.

Game show host Chuck Woolery dies at 83.

Best known for his work on the hit show Love Connection , as well as being the original host of Wheel of Fortune , Chuck Woolery became a fan favorite for game show lovers.

He made his Wheel of Fortune debut in 1975 during its pilot season and would serve as host until 1982, departing due to contractual disagreements.

He then stepped in to host popular dating show Love Connection in 1983.

The show would go on to run for more than a decade, airing its final episode in July of 1994.

Woolery also hosted a variety of other shows throughout his career, including The Chuck Woolery Show which ran for one season, gameshow The Big Spin , and Scrabble.

He reportedly passed away at his home in Texas surrounded by family.

A cause of death has yet to be confirmed.
