In Alaska, extraordinary and unusual weather conditions have allowed for Rabbit Lake, in the alpine area near Anchorage, to freeze in a way that maintained the ice thickness suitable for skating on it but remained crystal clear, so that one can see right through ice and marvel at every little detail below the surface.
