Dr. Sandy Miarecki is a retired Lieutenant Colonel from the United States Air Force and holds a PhD in particle physics.
She was born in Chicago and raised in northern Illinois.
She excelled academically, being the valedictorian of her high school and later attending the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign where she majored in astrophysics.
