Commuters passing through Charing Cross Station in London will have the opportunity to experience a vision of future transportation.
A captivating pop-up installation featuring a futuristic flying taxi will be on display from October 9 to 16, offering a unique peek into innovative travel possibilities alongside the traditional black cabs on the streets.
Part of the UAE national "Invest in the Emirates" campaign, the installation showcases the country’s commitment to pioneering innovation and transforming visionary concepts into reality.
The flying taxis, set to be integrated into the UAE public transportation system by 2026, promises to revolutionise urban mobility by offering a citywide air taxi service for all to use, as part of the public transportation system, making it accessible to everyone for daily commutes, business trips, and even leisure travel.
The taxi in development is set to fly from four dedicated vertiports at key locations, with speeds up to 320 km/h, these electric-powered taxis will significantly reduce travel times while operating quietly and sustainably, setting a new standard for global urban transportation.
While the flying taxi installation in London serves as a brief showcase of Emirates forward-looking initiatives, it also aims to highlight the UAE's dynamic business environment to potential UK and global entrepreneurs and investors.
This futuristic display invites onlookers to imagine the endless possibilities and unrivalled opportunities that the Emirates has to offer.
