Landlords to be forced to improve energy efficiency of homes

Landlords will have to meet decent energy efficiency standards in homes they rent out by 2030, under plans put out for consultation by the Government.

Energy Secretary Ed Miliband said: "So many renters today are living in substandard accommodation and we have a basic view that if you pay your rent you have a right to live in warm, properly insulated accommodation." Report by Covellm.
