Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov has launched a scathing attack on Western nations, accusing them of uniting against Russia much like Nazi Germany did during World War II.
Speaking at a ceremony honoring fallen diplomats, Lavrov claimed that "almost all of Europe" is once again rallying to inflict a "strategic defeat" on Russia, using Ukraine as a proxy.
He warned that the West refuses to accept a multipolar world and is trying to impose an unfair global order, undermining the principles of the UN Charter.
Lavrov also asserted that Russia’s "special military operation" is a historic battle for sovereignty, vowing that Moscow will endure and triumph.
His remarks underscore escalating tensions between Russia and NATO, as Moscow seeks to reshape global alliances amid its ongoing war in Ukraine.
