German Chancellor Olaf Scholz has strongly condemned former U.S. President Donald Trump's proposal to "take over" Gaza and relocate Palestinians elsewhere, calling it a "scandal" and a violation of international law.
Speaking during a televised debate ahead of Germany’s February elections, Scholz emphasized that forced resettlement is unacceptable, citing opposition from Egypt and Jordan.
CDU leader Friedrich Merz also criticized Trump’s remarks but urged caution, noting that much of Trump's rhetoric may not translate into action.
