Pressure on Israel to get hostages home as second stage of Gaza truce delayed

Omer Shem Tov was received by a cheering crowd in the town of near Tel Aviv as he left the hospital where he was admitted after his release from Hamas captivity during the swaps during phase one of Gaza truce.

It comes as Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu refuses to move to a second stage of a ceasefire deal with Hamas, which would see a more permanent end to the fighting in Gaza.

Hamas refuse the proposal, accusing Netanyahu's cut of aid into the Strip as 'blackmail'.
