In a high-stakes two-hour phone call between Donald Trump and Vladimir Putin, the U.S. and Russian leaders discussed a range of issues, but Trump insists Ukraine aid was never brought up.
Despite the Kremlin later demanding an end to foreign military aid to Ukraine as a condition for a ceasefire, Trump told Fox News that Putin never personally raised the issue during their conversation.
The call, which took place on March 18, saw Putin agree to a 30-day pause on attacks on Ukraine’s energy infrastructure but reject the broader U.S.-proposed ceasefire.
