Sir Keir Starmer has hailed military planners as "integral" to keeping the country "safe and secure".
The prime minister spoke at meeting with staff at Northwood military headquarters in northwest London where he added that political leaders had come together to attempt to find a peace deal for Ukraine and that military planners are "turning that political intention into reality".
