Amid reports that former US President Donald Trump suggested such a move for Ukraine’s “best protection,” Zelensky clarified that all nuclear plants, including the Russian-occupied Zaporizhzhia plant, belong solely to Ukraine.
He denied discussing any ownership transfer with Trump but acknowledged talks on regaining control of the facility from Russia.
Meanwhile, international negotiations continue over a partial ceasefire, with concerns mounting over Russian attacks on Ukraine’s energy infrastructure.
