In a chilling display at the Fritz Walter Stadium, the West Curve was covered in black foil before revealing a massive red, upside-down pentagram.
A banner was then unveiled with the Latin phrase: “Exaudi Nos, Lucifer, Et Surge Ex Abysso, Sume Animas Nostras” (“Hear us, Lucifer, rise from the abyss and accept our souls”).
As the satanic symbol loomed, a giant devil-like figure emerged from the pentagram, symbolizing the summoning of Satan.
A second Latin banner followed, declaring: “Ad Lucem Nos Trahe, Orbem Mundi Regna, Surge ex Flammis et Appare” (“Draw us to the light, rule over the world, rise from the flames and appear”).
