
Tolls on Blackwall Tunnel and new Silvertown Tunnel begin - what you need to know
From today, drivers using London's Blackwall Tunnel will have to pay a toll.

The Silvertown Tunnel is a road tunnel, planned to open on 7 April 2025, that will run beneath the River Thames in east London, England. The 1.4 km twin-bore tunnel runs between west Silvertown, east of the River Lea estuary, on the north side of the Thames and a portal adjacent to the existing Blackwall Tunnel on the Greenwich Peninsula south of the river. The new road will be designated as the A1026 road.
