Utah leaders, locals and longtime attendees of the Sundance Film Festival are making their final push to keep the world-renowned independent film festival in the state as its directors consider uprooting it. The festival could remain in Park City and nearby Salt Lake City or move to other top contenders, Cincinnati, Ohio, or Boulder, Colorado, after next year's festival. The Utah governor’s office is lobbying the state Legislature to carve out more money for Sundance in the state budget as residents lead a grassroots sticker campaign to convince festival leaders to stay put as they make a decision within the next few months.
