Gov. Beshear touted Kentucky to CEOs at global conference. It came as his political profile rises

Gov. Andy Beshear says he had 25 meetings with corporate leaders over two-and-a-half days at the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland. He says he promoted Kentucky as the place to expand or build new factories. Having so many CEOs in one place was an unprecedented opportunity for the Democratic governor. He said Thursday it would have taken him months, perhaps years, to see so many executives if he hadn't attended the global conference. He says his being on the global stage is important for Kentucky's future. It also came at a time when his political profile is growing in the U.S.
