Charge Note: Murder Investigation Launched After Serious Assault Hebden Bridge

A Halifax man was due to appear before magistrates today charged with murder

Kyan McWhir (31) of Vernon Place, Todmorden was detained in police custody to appear before the morning session of Bradford Magistrates Court.

The 31-year-old was charged with the murder of a 52-year-old man in Hebden Bridge in an incident during the evening of Saturday July 27

The victim had suffered serious head injuries in the incident on Crown Street and died in hospital on July 29.
