Appeal: Serious Injury Collision, Leeds

Police are appealing for witnesses following a serious injury collision in Guiseley.  

It happened at about 10.10am today (Tuesday) outside Philip Kirkby Jeweller in Otley Road and involved an 88-year-old pedestrian and a white Scania HGV lorry, which was travelling towards Menston.  

The pedestrian was taken to hospital with serious leg and hip injuries. These are being considered as life-threatening due to his age.  

The lorry driver was spoken to by officers at the scene.
