Nearly every other aspect of life.

Our team coverage starts in tennessee.

Tonight more than 85 people are in quarantine after four positive coronavirus tests at schools in lincoln county.

Waay 31's max co-han is live at flintville school where one student and one teacher are sick.

He asked the superintendent what, if any, changes are being made.

Superintendent bill health told me that more than a 60 of those students and a dozen staff members in quarantine are from right here at the flintville school.

He also said if anything is going to make the district change its plan, it's quarantine numbers.

"it's time that we start making those preparations" after four positive coronavirus tests at two lincoln county schools, superintendent bill heath told me the district is currently working with the plan it started the school year with last week.

"we're taking the approach that hey, we've developed a great plan.

We're going to work that plan."

But now, with active cases, the superintendent said his main goal is to stop the spread and some changes may have to be made.

"we're beginning to prepare for a potential virtual setting for all of our students or for a hybrid setting."

Heath says two things could trigger this switch.

One if cases in lincoln county surpass 174 total cases , schools must transition to hybrid learning.

The other is if there is a high number of staff from one building in quarantine.

"that makes it almost impossible to operate that building, that would be one of the things that would cause us to have to immediately jump to a different situation."

Heath says they aren't ready to make any changes yet but added that the district is planning to have a 3-day buffer period to give people time to organize and plan -- in the event of a transition.
