But first, we want to get to waay 31's sierra phillips.

She is live with more on how lincoln county is dealing with a coronavirus outbreak ..

Less than two weeks into the start of the semester!

Sierra?

Superintendent bill health told us more than a 60 students and a dozen staff members are in quarantine here at flintville school and 16 at south lincoln school.

He said if anything is going to make the district change its plan, it's quarantine numbers.

After four positive cases at the two schools, superintendent heath says the district is currently working with the plan it started the school year with but changes may have to be made.

He says they could switch to hybrid learning if the county passes 174 total cases or if there' s a high number of staff from one building in quarantine.

"that makes it almost impossible to operate that building, that would be one of the things that would cause us to have to immediately jump to a different situation."

> as of last check, the district isn't making the switch to online learning this morning.

If they do make the change- there would be a 3 day buffer period to help with the transition.
