3 districts in our area are starting their academic school years this morning.

Waay 31's sierra phillips is live in sheffield, where city school students are gearing up to head back to class.

But first we start with waay 31's ashley carter.

She is live in athens at the bus garage as drivers are getting ready to pick up students for the first day of school!

Each of these buses have signs inside reminding students not to board the bus if they have a fever or any coronavirus symtpoms. if a student starts to show coronavirus symptoms ...buses have a quarantine seat for students to sit until they get to school.

The district asks that parents make sure students stay at least 6 feet a part while at the bus stops.

Seats will be assigned and students will load from the back to front so they won't have to pass each other hand sanitizing stations will be on the bus for students to use since today is the first day with all the new safety precautions, an employee will be on board to show students their seats, check them for symptoms, and hand out masks if needed.
