Tonight---- keeping up with the lessons --- after months out of the classroom --- adding anxiety for students and teachers.

That's why - the local non- profit -- the dream center--- is stepping up their involvement at one evansville school.

44news reporter megan diventi explains --- "we're really just extending that partnership in order to help students transition from being at home the last five months back into the school setting."

It's all hands on deck--- for local non- profit dream center--- which aims to help local children and their families-- their program--- partnering with delaware school in evansville--- now assisting inside the classrooms--- "through having them c c c c cinto school they'l be able to assist us with transitions-- having that one to one person if necessary and there is a connection with an adult that they've had over the summer that we can also have during the beginning of the school year."

Beginning wednesday--- several dream center program staff members will be heading back to class-- aiding teachers and students during these unprecedented times... so having that smiling face, that helping hand, the person that they recognize that they trust, that they know will be there for them because we've been there for them in the past is something that we feel like adds a great value to our teachers and for our kids."

In a day-- program staff will help students safely get to their classes--- and much more --- "staff are here to help with busy work, they are here to help with behavioral issues, they are also here to help with academics so pulling kids for extra help in reading and math and whatever that teacher really might need."

A collaboration in hopes of helping students excel no matter the circumstances-- "we've seen a lot of smiles, a lot of laughing and excitement about being back together with kids and we really see that with the teachers as well in the school staff is that yes there is anxiety, but there all just really excited to be back."
