Showers and storms will persist through today with a frontal boundary stalled over part of the area.
Farther south, training storms will lead to some localized flooding in spots.
The rest of us will have a round of thunderstorms rolling through from the west.
Any of these could bring strong winds, hail, or even an isolated tornadic spin-up.
After that happens, more strong storms may fire through parts of the afternoon into the evening.
Highs will be in the upper-70s.
Dry weather returns for the weekend with Saturday having some wind with highs in the upper-70s.
Sunday will be cooler with highs in the low-70s.
The cooler weather will stick around as we head into September.
