(Part 4 of 4) With COVID-19 even affecting Halloween, a Dallas parking center has been transformed into a contactless drive-thru spookhouse.

Covid-19 is impacting a álot of events this year --- including halloween.

ááso for the month of october -- the american airlines center áparking garage in dallas has been transformed into a áhalloween drive-thru -- allowing families to enjoy a safe, ácontact-free and áspooky experience.

Nicole nielsen has the story.

In a year all about compromise--- halloween thrills are few and far between.

2:50:08 "we don' have anything else to do, we gotta do something."

So when the american airlines center decided to host "drive-bo halloween", it's n surprise the cars have been lining up.

"so excited, yea we came like an hour early!"

It's a multi-level parking garage drive thru experience, complete with ghouls, goblins, and ghosts.

The attraction is kid friendly---unless you want to take on the vip top floor, where actors offer more intense scares.

But most importantly-- everything has been made completely contactless.

"families can stil experience halloween from the safety of their own vehicles, it's a zero contact event."

Alex lohmann has been putting on halloween events for 21 years and helped create the drive-boo.

He says he's never had to get so creative.

"for us it was little bit tricky because we are so used to the extreme--the gore and the blood, and the confrontation between yo excited about?"

"fighting th monsters!"

But one outcome he didn't expect--adults are loving it just as much as children.

"one thing abou this, that we didn't anticipate// is the number of adults who are willing to come to this, but would never go to a traditional haunted house because they are too afraid."

He says he wouldn't be opposed to reimaging halloween events in the future.

"number one, if it' still an issue, we will still do this, and then number two, if this really does seem to be something people like, doing it next year even if covid is over with is still on the table" drive boo halloween is running every friday and saturday in october.
