At this school they plan to reopen in phases to give everyone a chance to prepare.

You can see they are getting this classroom ready.

There are only a few desks in here and they are all spaced 6 feet apart.

Tuesday all schools in butte county received the green light to reopen for in- person classes.

Chico country day, a local charter school, says they are choosing to move at a slower pace.

The school will welcome back transitional kindergarten through 2nd grade students on october 26.

3rd through 5th grade will return a week later on november 2nd.

And the goal is to welcome 6th through 8th grade students back on novemeber 9th we wanted to slow down and make sure we are looking at all of the moving parts involved.

Transitional kindergarten and kindergarten students will likely be on an am/pm schedule.

1st through 5th grade students will either go to class monday and tuesday or thursday and friday but only for a few hours.

Wednesday will be a deep cleaning day for the whole school.
