Vermillion County considered a COVID-19 red zone, a breakdown of what this means for residents

The Vermillion County Health Department tells us the county is now a COVID-19 red zone.

You *must* pre-register.

Also in indiana... vermillion county is now considered a "covid-19 red zone."

For a certain state or county to be considered a red zone... there are several different factors.

But for vermillion county... it seems to be the sudden increase in positive cases.

Here's what i know after speaking with the health department.

They say- they're seeing a 15 point 4 percent positivity rate..

With 45 new cases since the 6th of this month.

The "debuty" health commissioner has recommended that "both" of the school districts go to e-learning.

We were told "only" one will be doing this.

"if" you had any outdoor events planned..

They "can" go on as normal..

As long as you submitt a safety plan to the health department in advance..

The department believes the cause for these cases..

Stems from family circles and small gatherings..

And they're also doing more testing.

The county is hopeful that they can move out of the red zone when a new map is released next week.
