I spoke with the pastor here about why collecting these items was important to him.

He wanted to help so he asked members of the comunity to donate anything they could.
"things to help clean up houses that were flooded and damages, food items, we have diapers for babies."
Church memebers also collected cleaning supplies, food products, and even gift cards.
"families have been disrupted, have come apart, i feel for the clergy and the healthcare workers they are worn out" many families lost homes and businesses.
Dozens of people died from hurricanes laura and delta.
