Evening everyone...well when it comes to boys soccer... there are no two teams better in the history of the ihsaa state tournament than canterbury and evansville memorial...the cavs have won 13 semi-state and seven state titles, while the tigers have 11 semi-state and five state titles to their name...those marks are good enough for first and second in ihsaa history, respectively...and this weekend the two of them will go head to head for a state title..canterbury heads to state for the first time since their second of back- to-back titles in 20-18...the cavs are 13-4-5..
But haven't lost since august 29th... memorial comes in as the top team in 2a at 17-3 and looking for their second straight state crown and fourth in five years..history will be on both teams' side..
While memorial is unbeaten in their five trips to the title game..
Canterbury is 6-2 in their eight appearances..
And you can never count out a greg mauch-led squad this time of year..
3 the cavs will face evansville memorial on friday at the grand park sports event center in westfield...kickoff is slated for 8-30 p-m
