Lines have been long for days as people try to get their application in.
Will... what are things like right now?
The absentee ballot comes with three envelopes to return, including one for the ballot, one for the affidavit and one for the both of them.
Those who have absentee ballots at home have until 5 p.m.
On november 2nd to post mark them, but they must be received no later than noon on election day.
That's why many this year are opting to hand deliver them to their absentee election manager.
Something important to keep in mind -- while you can track the status of your ballot in alabama -- the state is not required to let you know if there's an issue.

So far, more than 316 thousand absentee ballots have been requested.
82 percent of those ballots have already been returned.

First go to alabama votes dot com and select the absentee voting page -- then scroll down to the blue highlighted link.
That tracks the status of your ballot.
Once you're there, if you requested a ballot you'll get a result that reads-- either accepted, or not.
