It's been cold for the last-minute voters.
But the line is now gone.
The only people that are still here getting their absentee ballot are all fortunately inside where it's a good deal warmer at this point in time.
Now, the secretary of state's office said so far up until this point, there will be more than 316,000 absentee ballots across the state that have been requested.
Roughly 259 of those have been successfully returned for this general election.
And more than 38,000 of those requested were from right here in madison county and that was before those requests that were submitted today.
Now, absentee ballots will be opened and beginning to start tabulation at 7:00 on election day.
They won't actually start counting them toward the final total until the polls close at 7:00 that night.
Of course, you can still drop off your completed absentee ballot as late as november 2nd this coming monday.
