L3: abc 36 news white hope center's cold weather plan shelter expects to serve more people for longer t ... the hope center says they are expecting to serve more people this winter because of the economic struggles brought on by the pandemic.

They also say..

With this winter expected to be colder and longer... they will need to help shelter a larger number of people for longer.

The shelter says it has created a cold weather plan to handle a higher number of people and maintain social distancing.

It says it will be bringing in portable sleeping trailers.... a temporary onsite shelter structure and using other spaces in the building.

The shelter also plans to reach out to the community if more space is needed.
