The holiday season is nearing, and coronavirus is raising concern in many communities with students returning home, especially for college students who may have to travel to do so.

Most part because of that means those students will head home for the holidays.

Well i plan on spending time with family for the most part because of coronavirus i don't want to travel too much."

Traequan key is a senior at mississippi state.

He says out of concern of catching the virus will not go to large events over the holiday season.

"i'm not much of a partier anyway but i do want to have the freedom to do more things, but i understand with the pandemic i've go to be more responsible."

School administrators are only asking students to follow health guidelines to stay safe.

He says although some students may not, he believes that most of the student body will follow cdc guidelines during their break.

"you know you got some that are going to go out there and party and that's understandable but most people are wearing their mask, most people are doing what they are supposed to do.

So i feel pretty confident that most students are going to do what needs to be done to get back to normal."

State health leaders said is important to be responsibile while on break to keep avoid outbreaks when they come back.
