Restaurant Association asks court to halt virus restrictions
Meanwhile --- the oregon restaurant industry is pushing back against the freeze restrictions -- taking the governor to*court.
Representatives say the freeze unfairly impacts the hospitality industry.
Again -- the new rules limit restaurants to take out or delivery only -- banning both indoor and outdoor dining.
The oregon restaurant and lodging association*filed the lawsuit.
Its*president says the outdoor dining ban takes it way too far.
He says restaurants now face -- laying off servers*again -- and says some small businesses will not survive this.
For some it will be the nail in the coffin so to speak but for others theyll be able to hold on by their finger nails and hopefully find a way to get to the other side once that vaccine is widely distributed.
We need a better explanation as to why indoor and outdoor dining is completely banned, while we still allow people to gather in private hosueholds at this stage in the fight.
The private households have been proven to spread the virus more prolificly than controlled restaurant environments now the goal of the lawsuit is to encourage state officials to come up with a*different approach to*better*protect
