Headwaters ice skating rink opened saturday, but with a few changes to stay within governor eric holcomb's executive order and the guidelines of the allen county health department regarding covid-19.
Headwaters ice skating rink director, geoff paddock says he's excited for the eighteenth season on the ice, but if skaters exceed the fifty percent capacity limit, some will likely have to wait in their cars for safety purposes.
All skaters will be required to wear a mask on the ice and social distance as much as possible.
Paddock says he and the headwaters ice rink staff will continue to do their part in sanitizing the skates and lobby areas.
Families are still encouraged to get in the rink as kids under 14 skate for free on six select days between december and february.
