Santa and mrs.claus made a stop in macon today.
They were spotted outside "the arc" ... for a santa drive thru.
The arc normally hosts a christmas party.... for the people they serve.
But they decided to switch to a drive thru event... because of the pandemic.
Santa made sure to greet every car ... that drove through... along with the rest of the arc staff.
And each person received a gift bag... made possible by donations.
The chief administrative officer of the arc... explains why today's visit meant so much.
I think the pandemic has caused a lot of loneliness especially for the people we serve who have to stay in their home and so anything we can do to spread some holiday cheer and lift their spirits is wonderful.
The arc is accepting christmas cards for people with special needs... they serve in the community.
