Ora's Tax Service gave out nearly 300 toys to children throughout the surrounding Starkville area.

Starkville business held it's first ever toy drive today to help families impacted by the pandemic.

Ora nickles of oras tax service said she put together this toy drive as a way to bring christmas to her community.

She bought and received toys for nearly 300 children.

The toys range from baby rings to basketballs... nickles and her staff delivered 150 pre-wrapped toys to previously identified apartments, but she also opened her store up for anyone to come pick up one toy per child.

Nickles said the pandemic was a driving force in her decision to hold the toy drive this holiday season.

"i feel like this year's really important that we reach out and help families that in need because i feel like a lot of kids are not gonna get toys because of the pandemic.

I just wanted to offer my help to a lot of the kids."

Nickles said she plans to do the toy drive again next year and will accept toy donations to help more families in the area.
