"*c receive around 975 of the pfizer vaccine this morning..
But mayor norton says we're still in the early stages.
Currently ?
"* three shipments of the vaccine have been made throughout minnesota.
One was at omc..
The other two were to north memorial and sanford health.
Omc says the next shipments will likely arrive in rochester and other locations throughout the state tomorrow.
Norton says even as we see more vaccines come into the area..
We all need to social distance, wear masks and practice hand hygiene given many will have to wait months to get their first of two shots.
These early ones are two dose vaccines and they're several weeks apart and it take several weeks after that for them to be fully effective.
So, we're looking at about six week of having to still protect our community so even those that are getting vaccinated aren't exposed.
Norton does say once the vaccine is more available by this spring we can hopefully return to some sort of normalcy.

Thank you jessica.
