With minnesota breweries ?
"* bars ?
"* and restaurants closed until further notice ?
"* businesses are having to flex their creative muscles during the pandemic.
Kimt news 3's annalise johnson shows us one way a local brewery is thinking beyond the pint glass.
Currently, during the governor's executive order, you cant sit and enjoy a beer inside of little thistle's tap room, or outside on its patio.
So the brewery is trying a new way to get its products into the hands of beer lovers.
Breweries are only allowed to be open for take out right now... but because of minnesota law ?
"* they can only sell 26 ounce cans ?
"* 750 ml bottles ?
"* and 64 oz growlers.
The finnies ?
"* owners of litte thistle became concerned about quality control and shelf life... so ?
"* they recently bought a canning line and are now stocking the shelves of area liquor stores.
Now ?
"* not only can you come inside the taproom to buy some brews ?
"* you can also pick up your favorites at hyvee barlow ?
"* andy's liquor crossroads and north locations in rochester ?*- and hyvee liquor austin.
Selling product out of liquor store fridges was never in the finnies' original plan.
"its something that we never included in our business plans or business model.
Covid kind of forced our hand to be creative and get our product out into more avenues for consumers to purchase it.
But we're definitely going to continue."
Like other breweries, bars, and restaurants, little thistle is waiting to see what changes, if any, the governor may make to the order on wednesday but even if guidelines are loosened, little thistle will not be able open until at least the beginning of the year due to staffing and logistics.

Little thistle hopes to be in the rochester co?
"*op soon too.
During the executive order ?
"* purchasing beer for take out or at the liquor store is the best way you can support the business during the pandemic.
