Louisville Mayor Greg Fisher is defending his choice of Erika Shields as the new police chief
The mayor of louisville is defending his choice to head up the city police department.

But on wednesday... protesters took to the street of louisville... condeming the choice.
They say shields.... who stepped down from her role as atlanta's police chief after police shot rayshard brooks last year... is not the person who should be in charge of a department already dealing with the high-profile killing of a black person by police.
But fisher says her experience in atlanta makes her the ideal person to take on the role.
