Banerjee filed her papers at the Haldia sub-divisional office, after taking part in a 2-km roadshow.
The TMC supremo was accompanied by party president Subrata Bakshi among others.

Banerjee decided to contest from the seat after Adhikari's recent switch to the saffron camp.
