Morgan brewer of v-v-s reached the milestone on sunday - and did it with style.
The red devils senior knocked down a three- pointer at the halftime buzzer during the team's game against notre dame in order to reach the quadruple point plateau.
A four-year starter for v-v-s - brewer became just the fifth player in red devils program history to reach that mark.
I caught up with the two-time t-v-l first team selection to get her thoughts on the accomplishment - especially after the uncertainty if she'd get the chance to do it this winter.
Morgan brewer: when i saw it go in, it was just an overwhelming feeling of emotion.
I just couldn't stop smiling and everyone else being exciting for me and coming up and hugging me and surrounding me and everything also made it even better.
Coming into this year it was always like oh we've got to get as many games as possible and i've got to give it up to my coach/athletic director for giving us as many games and giving me as many opportunities as possible so definitely with the circumstances we were in coming into the season it makes it almost better that i was able to achieve it randy thomas: to get to that point where she score is 1000 points i've got to be honest with you i'd be devastated if she didn't get there during this time and i would've felt bad for her.
The wins and losses, we're doing great, but the things to happen in real life situations and this is obviously one of them that she will remember forever and i will remember forever and to be able to see her accomplish that is worth more than winning any sectional titles or state championship or anything like that.
Coach thomas said that the unselfishness and cohesiveness of this group of girls on the team has allowed for these kind of accomplishments to happen.
Morgan is heading to the university of scranton in the fall to play for the royals.
She said she hopes she is remembered fondly like the four v-v-s girls to have accomplished the feat before her.
Don't think she'll have anything to worry about there.
