The state of indiana has been taking an age-based approach when it comes to distributing the vaccine.
But recently, they opened up eligibility to people with certain co- morbidities.

That includes early childhood conditions carried into adulthood.

Dr. lindsay weaver says people with any of these conditions will only be vaccinated if their health care provider approves it.
"it is appropriate to reach out to your provider to ensure that they are submitting your information.
After the information is submitted it does take 24 to 48 hours before you are notified.
Please be patient as providers across the state work to identify their appropriate patients."
So far, people in the age group 50-59 years of age are getting vaccinated at a lower rate..
Which governor eric holcomb has a message for.
"i'll just make an appeal to those folks who are 50 to 59 step up you are going to help us all get through this sooner."-holcomb as for people with these co-morbidities, infectious disease experts say they should get vaccinated as soon as possible.
